Question about the whole FM/PDF book building and generation process when using DITA in FrameMaker 8.0.
Currently, for each independent XML chapter, were pulling in the Overview section via conref. When opening/publishing the file in XML format this is working fine, but when publishing in FM/PDF, this is causing problems.
When building books in FrameMaker for a conventional PDF output, Im using the StructureTools utility to convert XML files to FM and then manually adding the new .fm files to the book.
This means when the FM chapter is added to the book, it does NOT contain the conref/Overview information. What is the workaround to this? Manually import the Overview to each chapter and then build? Is there a simpler way to include the conref info within the new FM file when the utility is run?
