Hyphenation problem with some documents from 7.2 to 8

I submitted the following problem to Adobe and it is not yet solved, so I'm looking for users who experienced the same issue with hypenation.

Thanks!

The problem :

Since our migration from FrameMaker 7.2 to FrameMaker 8 we have problems with automatic hyphenation not working as it is supposed to.
We are using FrameMaker 8.0p277 on PC (Windows XP SP3).

On Adobe support FTP in the folder "Case #0180382132" I have uploaded various files. A screen capture of our hyphenation settings.
One FrameMaker file with the hyphenation problem. One PDF file of page 15 which has the problem: near "2.2 [Bureau de division]"
the word "présente" is splitted as "présen-te" according to the settings it shouldn't. And finally page 42 which has the
problem: near "(4) [Les dettes sont tenues pour dettes de lactif]" the word "reçu" is splitted as "re-çu" and it shouldn't be
splitted at all. The text is in French.

We had the same issue with another FrameMaker 8 document. We were using the PostScript font Melior. The tested your solution by
swapping the font to an Open Type version of Melior and the problem remains.

I have uploaded (in the folder 2009-09-19) both versions of the font with the FrameMaker 8 document. One example of the problem is
nearby "14. On comptait, au 31 mars 2007" on page 5 where "réalité" is truncated "réali-té".

Changing the font is not a solution.
Why would the hyphenating be correct in FrameMaker 7.2, because there is no Unicode support?
There is no localization information related with a font?

My Windows XP language settings

Standards and Formats : "French (Canada)"
Location: "Canada"
Keyboard: French (Canada) - Canadian French
Language for non-Unicode programs: Canadian French

The answer from Adobe Support:

I was able to upload the open type font of Melior LT and confirmed that using
both the French-Canadian dictionary and French Dictionary; it seems this
font adds an unneeded hyphen.

I will let our Developers know of the issue with this font. Thank you
for brining it to our attention.
