Hello,
(Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere. I've not been able to find a solution.)
I have FM 10 and Adobe Acrobat Pro 10. My FM files contain both raster and vector graphics. When I print FM files to PDF, the vector graphics are interpreted 'smartly' into graphic elements (lines, blocks, etc) and text elements. Normally, this is great as we can search text in those graphics in the PDF.
However, now I am being asked occassionally to convert portions of our PDFs in to DOC format, and while that is easy to do and the end result looks very good for the most part, those vector graphics become a headache in the DOC. In order to properly position the text elements in the vector graphics, the DOC format creates a bunch of continuous section breaks and columns. In addition, the text elements from the SVG graphics are not readable as the characters have been changed.
What I would like to be able to do is to product a PDF from the FM files where the vector graphics are not interpreted smartly, and are comprised of a single flat object, at least when the PDF is converted to DOC.
Is there a "simple" way to do that, at least without having to change the contents of the FM files or manually fixing the DOC files?
